Holds flashlight up to her eye: Peetchur! Holds iPhone up: Peetchur!
She kisses Daddy's picture in her room and on my phone's background, and will fight viciously with me over who gets to talk to him when he calls (speaker phone is NOT acceptable; she has to hold him to her ear).
She will try to repeat just about any word back to you.
Heard on the baby monitor as we were both waking up the other morning: "Mommy...Mommy...MAWFA!!!"
Her hair is apparently beautiful beause it gets lots of compliments.
She now sleeps in a "Beeg gur bed."
"Ah-hah" means crying. She gets sad when she sees a picture of "Baby ah-hah".
"A beeeg whaale!" with hands up.
She randomly remembers our visitors/friends, and you know who you are even if nobody else does: Anny, Awa, Dassie, Ah-deeah, Caw-r, Yabber, Baby Habby, Chelle-grrl
She has figured out names for most of her "Backyardigans" episodes, asks for them by name, then inevitably changes her mind.
Loves to "Go go go!" across any room, frequently ending with a head-slam into the wall or faceplant on the ground.
She's become slightly obsessed with jumping off of things. The highest I know about is 1.5 feet (onto a padded floor).
"Oh! Messy!" ... she goes around the house saying this all the time, with good reason.
She has twice announced "Dat man yuggy!" Once when an exceptionally hairy man emerged out of the ocean near us, and again when a man in the doctor's office had some kind of lotion all over his face. We are swiftly approaching the embarassing-comment stage, I fear.
She is starting to figure out prepositions: In, out, on, & off, instead of randomly saying one.
Favorite thing ever is "swimmy" in her "baby soup". Her least favorite thing ever, I learned the hard way, is the splash pad. Loves her "boat", which is her floaty thing that she sits in.
She likes telling me to hold her stuffed animals: "Mommy holder Buddy. Mommy holder Muhkey."
She has developed an unfortunate association with food: To check if she's really done with something, I ask if I can eat it and then generally do because we're usually sharing. So when she decided that she was done with the chunk of donut in her mouth yesterday, she started yelling "Mommy eaty! Mommy eaty!" and fully expected me to obey her after I let her spit it out into a napkin.
Tonight, trying to make conversation--Me: "Are there some letters in the bath with you? " Eva: "Eeh-heh yetters in bat." (Eeh-heh is her stand-in for words she doesn't know.)
Speaking of yetters, she knows the capitals of E, I, O, U, R, S, X, and sometimes A and W. And she likes to talk about yobots (since there is one by the letter R in her alphabet book, and there is a whole Backyardigans episode about yobots!)
"No eeky water." (When I tell her not to drink her bathwater.)
She requests for me to sing certain songs (from the Backyardigans, of course). "Mommy singy Racing Day? Mommy singy Yobots? Mommy singy Go Go Go? Mommy singy Fying Wock? Mommy singy News Fash?" She has very strong opinions about my singing, though, and if I happen to spontaneously break out in a song of my own choosing when she doesn't feel like listening (this happens about twice a day) she shouts "MOMMY! NO!"
